SFDS goes to the Shedd!

The SFDSHS biology department was offered a fully funded field trip to the Shedd Aquarium on Wednesday, September 23 for all of our biology students to expand their knowledge about marine life and biomes. Our students have been studying the differnt ecosystems of the world, so this field trip was a perfect way to suppliment our learning outside of the classroom. We learned about pacific white side dolphins in the aquatic show, whales and seals in the oceanarium, sharks and coral in the coral reef exhibit and countless types of fish and aquatic plants throughout our visit. Our students were given an amazing opportunity to interact with the employees of the Shedd and ask questions to enhance their knowledge of aquatic life. We even got to pet some of the fish!

We thank the Shedd Aquarium for an amazing day and hope to work with them again in the future!
