Congratulation Lady Pioneers -- Regional 1A Champions!

Congratulations to the girls volleyball team for winning the 1A Regional Championship!  They won in two sets defeating Horizon/Southwest Academy.

The Lady Pioneers were lead by Yolianny Martinez with 6 Ace Serves.  Axhell Ellis put up a strong performance at the serving line following Setter Rosa Mendoza, who had 8 Assists.

The team competes next in the Sectional Semifinals at Serena High School on Monday, October 29...more information to come.

Lady Pioneers Advance to Regional Championship Game this Thursday!

The Lady Pioneers have advanced to Thursday, 10/25/18 Regional Championship game vs Horizon/Southwest here at SFDS 6pm.

To all fans per IHSA there is a $5.00 cost to attend the game. We hope to see you on Thursday.

To advance, the varsity volleyball team won in 2 sets last night defeating Providence St. Mel.

Set 1: 27-25

Highlights: Ileana Gallegos putting up a big block to get the first point of the set.

Set 2: 25-21

Highlights: Rosa Mendoza lead her team in 10 assists followed by Ileana Gallegos 7 kills, Evie Trudeau served strong and racked up 10 digs.

Summer 2019 to Greece!

It is not too late to enroll for the 2019 trip to Greece where students will explore Greece's historic structures like the Temple of  Athena, the Temple of Poseidon, and the Parthenon. They will enjoy guided sight seeing tours of Athens, Mycenae, and Olympia. Students will also participate in a pottery making workshop, and experience the country's exquisite cuisine.

Volleyball Team Preps for Annual Pink Out on 10/16

It's that time of year again when the volleyball program hosts their 9th annual PINK OUT in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Before the game, we will recognize breast cancer survivor, our own Mrs. Mary Kay Ramirez. 

Order the pink out t-shirt here. Students who buy one will get an out of uniform day on Tuesday, October 16. All money raised will be donated in honor of Mrs. Ramirez to Breast Cancer Research.
