St. Francis de Sales Boys Varsity Basketball Season Comes to an End in Super-Sectionals

 

The Boys Varsity Basketball team lost to Foresston in Super-Sectionals 67-53.  It is hard to lose but we are so very proud of our Pioneers for the season they gave us! Congratulations to the whole team and coaching staff for all you accomplished this season!!

Purchase Tickets for Super-Sectional; Class Schedule for Tuesday Posted

Students, Faculty, Coaches, and Staff:

To our coaches & players, CONGRATS on that HUGE win Friday night! Pioneers Sectional Champs... It has a nice ring to it! On to the "Elite 8".... Our team is 1 win away from going to the "Final 4" down in Peoria!

This Tuesday, we invite all of our students to join us as our Pioneer Boys Basketball Team plays their "Super Sectional" game against Forreston at NIU in DeKalb, IL. The game is at 6pm. 

PLEASE NOTE: Tickets to this game are $10 and MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE, at the SFDSHS School office. If you want to attend the game, even if you are driving separately, you MUST BUY A TICKET FROM SCHOOL. 

To insure adequate travel time for our players and coaches, and to help facilitate students/ families attending the game on Tuesday, please note the following: 

1. FAN BUS- We will have a fan bus. The cost for the trip is $20 total- $10 transportation fee (turned in with permission form) and $10 for admission to the game (ticket purchased in advance at the SFDSHS school office). You MUST have a permission slip signed by a PARENT/ LEGAL GUARDIAN  in order to go. Verbal/ Telephone consent is not allowed, nor are hand-written notes. The permission slip is attached to this e-mail and blank copies are available at the front office. Turn in permission slips as soon as possible, starting Monday morning. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE....Limited spots available. Please turn these in quickly, as we will try to accommodate all students that want to go. SUBMIT SIGNED PERMISSION SLIPS to Ms. Ramos in the FRONT OFFICE. 

2. SPIRIT WEAR- Once again, we will allow JEANS and SPIRIT WEAR on Tuesday. Please note, sweatpants, jogging pants, and leggings ARE NOT JEANS. Senior shirts are OK. Basketball team tops/ jackets are OK. Full uniform is ALWAYS ok. The two choices for attire on Tuesday are: full uniform OR jeans & SFDSHS Spirit Wear. Your spirit wear must be visible. 

3. EARLY DISMISSAL- On Tuesday we will be following a special schedule, with the school day ending at 12:40pm, in order to allow adequate travel time to DeKalb for our student athletes, coaches, and fans. Students will attend all classes (38 min. each), and then lunch (optional) at the end of the day. Please note the schedule below: 

7:55- 8:02  Homeroom/ Mentor

8:05- 8:43  Period C/ Academic Class 1

8:46- 9:24 Period D/ Academic Class 2

9:27- 10:05 Period E/ Academic Class 3

10:08- 10:46 Period I/ Academic Class 4

10:49- 11:27 Period J/ Academic Class 5

11:30- 12:08 Period K/ Academic Class 6

12:08- 12:10 ANNOUNCEMENTS

12:10- 12:40 All School Lunch (Optional)

Regular School Busses depart at 12:50pm

*Team Bus & Fan Bus depart at 1:00p
